Jan had inherited an opal ring, but was aware how fragile opals are and the inherent risk of wearing them on a finger. The stone had already been damaged and was missing a small section, but it had been her mother and carried a lot of meaning for her.

Together we designed this opal and diamond pendant - sourcing a second opal and diamonds to complement the first, and ensuring that the setting around the larger opal hid its historic damage.

No one would ever know that the stone wasn’t flawless.
